Studio Portrait
For this assignment I will be describing the first image. The light was from above on the side of the model's face. The light creates a light shadow on the left side of her face and a darker shadow on the other side on her face. it also crates the same light on the left side and the shadow on the right side of the background. The position of the model is her siting up, looking down. The shot is just of her head and part of her torso. I took the photo from slightly above , from straight on, and about a foot and two away from the model. The soft lightly and modest look of the model shows the shyness, and sweetness of the model. The middle photo in the last row has a different impact from the first photo. The middle photo in the last row makes the model into a silhouette by having the light in the background. This creates more of a dramatic look to the model and gives the image a sense of mystery. Unlike the first image which is sweet and simple.
