Line and Shape
For this assignment we were tasked with taking photos of line and shapes. I shot the first four at my high school around the art area with a Nikon d3100. The last two were shot with my personal point and shoot at a local farm. For the purpose of the project, I'll describe and explain the second photo down on the left. The subject matter are stools on top of a ceramic wheel. The photo is taken horizontally toward the front but off centered. When taking this shot I did consider the rule of third making sure the picture was pleasing to the eye. The unseen decreasing line created by the top of the stools leads the viewer through the photo. The outline of the corner of the desk produce a border for the stools, which again bring the viewer's eyes through the photo.
